Motorola Razr 40 Ultra leaks in all its glory: Here’s everything you need to know

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Specifications Leaked

We’ve been hearing about Motorola’s upcoming clamshell-style Razr folding phones for a while now. Just a couple of days ago, we learned that the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will likely be rebranded as the Motorola Razr Plus in the US. But the most recent leak of the device gives us a full view of its amazing features. And there’s not much left to learn about it now.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Leaked in an Egyptian Site

Before its launch, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra has been leaked on an Egyptian retail website. The listing, which is still live at the time of writing this article, includes new official images and a spec sheet of the device.

Design and Display

The Razr 40 Ultra follows the same design as other clamshell foldable, with a divided back. The lower half of the phone shows Motorola and Razr logos. Whereas the website also confirms its available color options: Glacier Blue, Viva Magenta, and Phantom Black. As with last year’s Razr 2022, the upper portion may be protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

However, the standout feature of the Razr 40 Ultra is undoubtedly its larger cover display. Compared to the 2.7″ AMOLED screen on the Razr 2022, the outer display on the Razr 40 Ultra is noticeably bigger. Currently, Oppo’s Find N2 Flip holds the record for the largest cover display on a clamshell foldable, measuring 3.26″. Motorola seems poised to surpass Oppo in this aspect.

Moving on, the main display of the Razr 40 Ultra will be a 6.9-inch FHD+ pOLED panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2640. This contradicts earlier reports that suggested an AMOLED display, but it’s still an OLED display nonetheless.

Performance

The website listing also confirms that the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra will have an octa-core processor with a clock speed of 3.20 GHz. This processor is likely the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, which is not the latest and most powerful mobile processor from Qualcomm. But it’s still a capable chipset even in 2023. The phone will also have 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Others

Moreover, the rear cameras are listed as 32MP and 8MP. The listing also provides two specs for the selfie camera: 12MP and 13MP. However, since there is only one selfie camera cutout, it is probably best to not rely completely on these specs.

Motorola Razr Plus Leaked Design

The phone will also have a 3800mAh battery, NFC support, Nano-SIM, and eSIM support. The listing also hints towards wireless charging and power sharing. Whereas, there will be a fingerprint scanner for biometrics.

Motorola Razr 40 Ultra Price and Launch

Motorola has confirmed that it will be holding a launch event on June 1. But the website has also listed the price of the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra. The sole 8/256GB model will cost 3,999 SAR, which is about $1,066 in the US.
